To successfully run a club like ours we need support from volunteers.
We have had admirable support in the past with volunteers working:
• On the Greens and grounds,
• In the kitchen,
• In the Match Office,
• At the bar,
• On committees and around the Club generally.
• But there is only so much that they can do.
To continue to be successful into the future, we encourage present and future members to become involved.
Specifically, we are looking for help in any of the following areas.
• Participating on Club committees and / or sub-committees.
• Fulfilling assistant roles such as the assistant treasurer or secretary, webmaster.
• Working behind the bar (Responsible Service of Alcohol accreditation will be arranged).
• Helping with the maintenance of our greens and grounds.
• Coaching and/or officiating as umpires and markers.
• Assisting with the conduct of bowls events for non-club members. This mainly involves showing people where bowls are located, getting score cards, explaining how the game works and then keeping an eye on them for a while until they get the hang of it.
• Assisting with the conduct of evening bowls events for Club members, such as Corporate Bowls.
• Assisting with the organisation of social events.
• Helping to run raffles.
• Assisting with letter box drops by delivering leaflets to streets surrounding your home.
• Just generally helping around the Club
If you feel that you can assist, please contact the Office

Carpet Bowls
Carpet or Indoor bowls is a popular alternative to outdoor lawn bowls.
The game is played in a similar way to lawn bowls and although there are slight differences between the two, it is essentially an indoor version of the outdoor game.
Carpet bowls is played on a strip of replica green of a comparable length to lawn bowls.
So what makes it so popular?
One of the attractions of Carpet bowling is that it can be played by all ages, including men, women, juniors and seniors.
People of all abilities can play.
Contact the Club for more details.
Line Dancing
Line Dancing presents itself as the perfect form of exercise as it provides the benefits of an aerobic workout.
This helps maintain a healthy heart and also provides a platform to get involved in a social environment.

In 1903, local residents suggested to the Municipal Council that Lawn Bowling Greens should be constructed, thus adding another attraction to the Busselton Township.
After a number of meetings, approval and a sum of 30 pounds, it was agreed to construct three lawn bowls rinks on the local recreation ground.
A meeting of members of the Council on 28th September 1904, formed a provisional committee to secure information relative to the formation of the Busselton Bowling Club Inc.
On October 11 1904, the provisional committee’s report was adopted, and the Busselton Bowling Club actually came into existence on that date.
Today, Busselton Bowling Club provides four well-maintained greens, often referred to as the BEST greens in the South-West Region, if not the state.
Busselton Bowling Club is located a short walk from the centre of town and the historical Busselton Jetty and its foreshore.
With approximately 200 members, the club offers a wide range of services to meet the needs of all members and guests, whether they are playing lawn bowls or simply enjoying the social atmosphere of a friendly place to meet friends and enjoy a drink.
The Club operates with a Constitution, By-Laws and a Code of Conduct.

The Busselton Bowling Club is administered by an Management Committee
(The Board) comprising the President, two Vice Presidents (Male and Female), Secretary, Treasurer, Bar Manager, Facilities Manager, Men’s Captain and Ladies Captain.
To ensure the smooth operation of the Club, a number of committees and sub-committees operate within the Club structure which oversees specific areas and/or tasks.
